Emmanuella Asiedu is a remarkable young woman from Ghana, who was born and raised in Holon, Israel. Despite growing up in Israel, life wasn’t always easy for Emmanuella. Her parents, originally from Ghana, faced language barriers, making her journey through the Israeli education system more challenging.
From a young age, Emmanuella felt the need to work harder and prove herself more than her Israeli peers. She graduated from Ort Singalovski High School and is now in her second year at the College of Law and Business in Ramat Gan, pursuing a degree in Law. She always knew she wanted to study Law because of her passion for helping people understand their rights, especially Africans in Israel.
Emmanuella currently faces significant challenges in her studies, primarily the difficulty of balancing work and school. Her law degree is expensive, so she works from 9 am to 6 pm (sometimes until 7 pm) to pay for her tuition. This demanding schedule can be exhausting, but she remains committed to her goal.
Emmanuella is grateful to the generous donor whose support to ASO’s Teen Mentor Program has partially supported her tuition easing some of her financial burden. She believes that her education will greatly benefit her community. Emmanuella’s goal is to help as many people as possible in her community, using her legal knowledge to make a positive impact.
